Mali: Towards an increase of Minusma forces.
06/02/2016 – Faced with the resurgence of terrorist attacks in recent days, the Secretary General of the United Nations, Ban Ki-moon has asked that the forces of Minusma be increased by 2,500 soldiers and 480 police officers, which would bring the UN force to 13,289 men . These new soldiers would function intelligence gathering, Niger river monitoring, anti Explosive (IED) and protecting supply convoys. Furthermore, the Security Council will consider an extension of the mandate of the MINUSMA. The Security Council is reviewing the new proposals of Ban Ki-Moon.
