While the Inter-Mali dialogue resumed in Argelia, the authorities in Mali are concerned about the military power and intentions of the High Council for the Unity of Azawad, near to the jihadist group Ansar Eddine.
In the complex maze of armed groups operating in the North of Mali, there is one group, that is of concern at the highest point of the Mali government. “The real problem is not the National Movement for the Liberation of Azawad (MNLA), but the High Council for the Unity of Azawad (HCUA),” says one in the entourage of the Prime Minister in Mali.
